New Greenhouse Roof - Finally !

Last winter we had several severe wind-storm events that lasted a week or more with gusts over 60 mph... so my greenhouse roof was toast. Wind Storms are not new up here and this has happened before? That required a quick Blue-Tarp repair to keep out the snow and rain. I always have planned to replace the greenhouse plastic-sheet with rigid polycarbonate panels when I could afford the materials... now is the time!

I started on Tuesday but ran out of supplies by 10 PM so I quit for the day. It started raining on Wednesday and that meant the Blue-Tarp went back up for weather protection.

Saturday the Weather looked better with broken clouds and even a little warm sunshine poking through that let me work outside without a jacket for the first time this year! There was still a slight chance for a rain shower in my area and yes it only rained on me a little so I just grabbed my Gortex rain jacket and kept on working through a brief light shower - Ha!

I finally got almost done and at least it is now weather tight! I still need to trim the excess and add framing for the over-hanging eves.

For now it is not perfect but Good Enough and I REALLY need to get some plants moved out before they completely take over my house!
